Does anyone else think it'd be great if FTL technology was invented? Just soo that everyone who wants to earn money or party at the expense of the envirement can faak off to a planet where there is no envirement, so the people who actually appreciate Earth's nature can stay here and appreciate the sight of nature taking the cities back over.

And the declined human population and vastly increased amount of nature and wildlife will mean that there's plenty of food to go around.

Right, but what do humans have to gain on a planet where there's nothing to get? We haven't even done sufficient research to know if global warming is truly caused by humans.

Granted, there's no evidence.

But there are sensible theories, and measured result that support those. Soo the evidence is basically just a tiny thing missing.

And they're not planets where there's nothing to get. They're only planets where there's no envirement to have to protect. Wich means that humans can get/build/dump/party all they want without having to worry about harming it.

Well, yeah. There's the problem. That would require the invention of FTL techonology...

Acording to the Elite:Dangerous universe, that will happen somewhere in 2100. Those drives will have the capability of accelerating to maximally approx 2500C. Not very fast, But it'll scertainly be enough to comfortly colonize our own solar system and those nearby.

Although...

If we find any alternative to conventional rocket fuel, it would be enough to colonize our own solar system as well. Soo here's hoping that's gonna happen anytime soon.

And no! Do not mention reactionless drives! They're a hopeless bunch...
