I wanted to work for the police, but no, "I'd be a tool working for the evil goverment who'd be forced to beat up and kill peacefull protestors protesting against evil companies injecting dangerous chemicals into the ground for pumping out gas, I'd have to round up homes and send parents to jail who haven't injected their kids with those evil vaccines"!

Soo, okay, I talked about joining the Marechausse, Wich is a Dutch military/police section for securing high-risk location such as civilian airports, or the NAVO conference building from terrorist attacks or the borders, from drug/weapon smuggling or human trafficing...

"But nooo, disgusting, I'd be defending white-collar criminals and war-crimers worse than uncle-adolf! And don't talk about civilian-airport security! That's all a bunch of stirred-up news! Terrorists aren't real, it's all just fake, even that guy that blew-up more than 20 people in Brussel airport not that long ago."

Don't get me wrong, I can do without their support. But why do they have to be such Hippie-hypocrits living in a fantasy-world where everything closely goverment related is evil-without-borders?

I want to join the police or marechaussee to help and protect people. But no, apparantly I'll become some sort of nazi-soldier by doing so...

I do suppose that, once I'd have joined, I could just be smug by telling them how my day has really been.

Helping people out, sending away youngster-clouds bothering people, make some jerk regret driving 80 Kph on a bicycle lane with a modified moped, or maybe even stop a drug dealer or human trafficer on some occaisions.

At least that's what I hope it'll be like. It'll probebly involve some less good stuff from now and then too, like fining people or having to nitpick at someone for not carrying a light on their bicycle at night...

That's the thing, It's not the military. No ill-speech towards the military, it can scertainly be a good thing.

Even though marechausse does say military police, It's really more a security force that's between the military and the police.

They handle stuff like securing civilian airports, or other locations, scanning for potential terrorists or other baddies, or dangerous/illicit items smuggling, wich the police isn't trained for, but the military is too expensive, or too high-profile / agressive to be used for.

I have respect for the police. They help others, even if they sometimes they have to risk their own safety to do so. The whole stereotype that they're here to annoy people by handing out tickets is only partially true. They are there for our safety. It's not a job for me, mind you, but it's an important job for the entire country.

What kind of bad people?

The people who pump kid's cereal full of sugar because they know it's addictive and will increase profits, or make cigarette filters poriferous soo it will test less harmfull substances/litre of air than what a smoker actually inhales by smoking it?

Or the people who just do bad stuff to people or animals, because they feel like it? Or act like jerks because they simply think they're better and more important than everybody else?
