I'm even less comfortable with speaking in English. But still, if there's enough people I don't know around I won't really speak much in any language.
Ah, boiled potatoes. So simple yet so complicated. Here every time I see someone making them, which is pretty often, it's just "let's say about 25 minutes from now" and it's always good.

Finnish is just nope.
And since I don't really know any other languages I kinda have to leave it at that xP


I've tried asking people if they could give me a quick lesson in how to potato, but the usual reaction tend to be "WHAT?! You live on your own but you can't boil potatoes?!" followed by "Just do this and that and that and this and then it should be done"
I've tried 9001 different methods, but they just never turn out good no matter what >->


That said, I don't suck at cooking in general. I can make several different dishes just fine, but boiled potatoes is not one of them.

That's odd. With my limited knowledge on the topic I can't help much. I just know that you need to add salt and put them in cold water, then from the moment it boils go for about 25 minutes. Or less if they're the cool little young potatoes

Yes, that's how I've usually tried to do it, but -still- they end up all weird and stuff xP
Guess it's some kind of mildly inconvenient curse someone's put on me.
Like "MAY YOUR BOILED POTATOES NEVER TURN OUT PERFECT!!!"


Going to try again later today, but since I'll be making mashed potatoes I should be able to avoid triggering the curse effect
