Meanwhile in my ameteur astronomy adventures, I've discovered my first comet! Well, I didn't actually discover it, but rather found an asteroid that actually turns out to be a comet. I haven't contacted the Minor Planet Center about this, but I'm relatively sure of this identification.

Oops! Almost removed a few years progress there. :S XP


Anyways, I'm frankly very excited that such a thing would be happening. Discovering asteroids is one thing, but comets have only ever been discovered by a small handful of people. Making such a discovery would put relatively minor, but still present ripples in the community of cometologists.
