My friends and I still play Starcraft 1 over 2, though Warcraft 3 and it's cusom maps sneak in more often than naught

The same amount of enjoyment just can't be had in newer games, it's more locked out of freewill due in part to making it more about "you have a right to play the game after you paid $65, but when our servers go down in the future, you are not allowed to play it anymore.". Cheat codes are basically extinct, endgame rewards and postgame activities are zilch.

dude, co-op is one of the few things that makes games like Deadspace 3 and F.E.A.R 3 playable
