Erhm, "normal" means complying to the expectation of the biggest norm that is present, and enforced...

Soo, yeah, normal is very much a thing...

But, as you may expect, "acting normal" at work, means something else than "acting normal" at a furcon. Because diffirent norms are applicable.

Imagine going to work, and starting to hug everybody there, even though that's exactly what the average person does at a furcon.

However, it's normal at a furcon, but not at work...

"Normal" is indeed pretty much defined as "that what most expect it to be". Therefore, what is "normal" keeps changing and differs consistently in place and time.
