And, I guess, in some way you could be happy, that they banned an OP deck...

Or, well... Could always decide not to play against an OP deck? I don't know how that stuff works...

Eh, meta's gotta be meta. Still waiting for a banlist to reach Europe/America, it seems that only China/Asia are the only ones to get regular banlist updates. They've got a varied meta. We've got True Dracos, Dinos, and Zoodiac.

Kinda. You either know what they're playing from earlier in the tournament/match or you have no clue what deck they're playing.

Well, how are they going to enforce/regulate a ban on a certain deck, if they can't see it?

Oh, that's what you mean.

Well, Konami looks at all the decks before any tournament, and notes the profiles. If any cards are used too often or are too powerful yet easy to get out then they get banned, or have their key combination pieces harder to get out.

For example, back in 2004 (I think), Yata-Garasu was a win condition in most decks. It is a Level 2 (so no tributes required) monster that returns to the hand during the end of the turn (so easily defendable), and although it only has 200 ATK, if it inflicts damage to your opponent, they don't draw a card in their next draw phase. So, get rid of their hand and field, summon Yata, and win. Now it is banned.

It does kinda make sense. However, because they also sell the new cards, they can adjust the banlist to make people want to use the new cards and stuff. For example, SPYRAL, a releatively new archetype, is extremely powerful. However, Konami probably won't do anything about it because it sells their brand new cards and the new mechanic that they recently introduced into the game (Links).
