I felt you needed a villain who was really and truly evil.  He has no connection to those he feeds from and therefore feels nothing from their deaths.  And with a parasitic hunger he can never be saited.  An all devouring demon.

Baisically what just hit the plane is a .50 caliber modified bullet with a tracer radiation agent, and high explosive/incendiary bullet. Basically AA bullet modified for a modified M16A2

and basically the ship is a heavily medium sized fortified battleship (not plane cause wouldnt really have the same VTOL/hovering) :3
