I have, in the past, received personal messages from little-known users of these forums saying I do not belong here because I didn't have a Fursona/wasn't a Furry. These messages were promptly deleted, and the users were ignored. More recently, within the past few days I updated my profile to have a little bit of information about one of my primary characters, Ted Vorurteil, and began losing karma points from the 18 I had just before I changed my profile. I also understand that a few of my Role-Play characters display contempt for Anthros, they hold the archetypal roles of the villain and are there to merely serve as an obstacle for the heroes(Which also include Humans i.e., Frank Keegan, Virgil Isorus) of the stories, and are ultimately conquered by good. The problem thus does not lie in my characters, but likely because of my choice in Persona. I chose Man as my model because he is a generalist, not because he is superior. He does not benefit from the Bear's strength, but he does not suffer from it's lack of craft. He is not granted the dexterity of the Snake, but he does not share it's repulsiveness. This appealed to me because I wanted a character who could do many things with reasonable skill and results, rather than one who could succeed greatly in a few tasks and fail critically in others.
I adhere to the rules and I even help keep them by reporting transgressors to the administrators and moderators, and never did anything wrong, but because one or more impertinent users here cried Human, I have to lose my status as a good member of these forums, and new members could get a bad first impression from me. At first I thought it was a joke, but it's not, and now it's just making me mad.
