Just browse around, if you want to meet people one of the best places to go is forum games, where you can get a nice relaxed atmosphere. If you want to get to know people a bit better, consider joining an RP, you can join fun RP's for some casual posting or more serious RP. Other than that just look around, there's lots of people and lots to see.
