Well it's not very secret, is it? Scholarships for all by law, free health care for all, by law, first country to have a law against gay discrimination... News are always expected to be neutral and stick to the facts and nothing else, lots of political parties so you can choose one you actually agree with. Holidays do not focus on the religious aspect of them and so we are all free and allowed to believe what we want without having anything else shoved down our throats, which is great. Statistically the happiest people on Earth.

What's not to love?

The strict pet laws. No amphibian or reptile pets are legal in Norway, as well as sugar gliders, fennecs, any cat with wild blood, and insects. Though the former might change very soon. Hopefully. And the ridiculous import rules. Anything worth 30 bucks (including shipping) gets an aditional +25% tax. This law was made in the 70's and is severely outdated.

Because reptiles can potentially carry diseases and be a threat to wildlife if freed. Because lizards manage to survive in climates that are too cold and harsh for cockroaches. Duh.

I think only Iceland topped us, but then they had financial problems that ruined everything.
