Diary of an animal at the zoo (need ideas)
« on: October 09, 2010, 04:22:39 AM »
I got a story of this Lynx whos been put into a zoo and he records his daily actions in a journal. Here's what I've written so far.

Day 1
I awoke to find myself lying in a cool cave. The cave itself is rather small, in that I could move around in it fine, but only for a few steps before I started stepping onto grass. Looking out the cave, I saw a single tree next to a rugged, grassy landscape with a forest behind it. What puzzles me most, however, is that opposite the forest, are beings like I've never seen before. They seem to resemble monkeys, but their skin seems to be able to change colors, like a chameleon. No two of them are the same. For reference, I shall refer to them as Hinds, as they walk on their hind legs. I decide it is best to keep my distance from them as I feel it is better not to antagonize them.
Continuing to explore my surroundings, I find a pool of water, a hare carcass (fresh), and a circular object hanging from a vine attached to the tree I mentioned earlier. The strangest thing so far has been that the forest seems to be protected. No matter what I tried, I wasn't able to pass into it. No trees or other animals we're blocking me, but some invisible force prevents me from entering. Another note is that the area between me and the Hinds is guarded by what look like thorn bushes and some kind of webbing. Pacing about my apparent prison, I've found that its roughly 20 paces from either end. The hare I found earlier is quite delicious as hares always are, but how it got in here and maimed in such a way just confuses me more. I shall not sleep well tonight, for it has been a strange day indeed.

The problem I have is I have no idea what happens next, or what day the next entry will be. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I don't undertsnad truely where we are supose to post certin things, when I have this much infromation, I post it in the writing and put my other crap  at the bottom, o well

Anyways, I loved the idea, I like how you gave it an intelectuall aspect, with out makeing it to much, maybe something else you could do, is talk about when they bring the foods, it will give him an upclose look, and he would wonder how they get in and out.
