@Otebon It is; it is also uncontrolled however. If the animal watches TV too, it could pick up on their words and pronunciations; not always desirable, but possible. You see it often enough in humans; let a child watch the wrong program and watch them swear sometimes for the rest of their life. Not even discipline will permanently and definitely put a halt to it, and you can't do that to an animal as effectively as a human.

TL;DR Not a good idea, but possible nevertheless.

The amazing part isn't the fact that they're getting bird sounds from a bird. The amazing part is that the bird sounds are truly remarkable (especially for the lyre bird, who can pretty much imitate anything)
