It's just how I spell it. It looks weird with an 'i', in my opinion. So when I spell my own species, I say 'werepyre'. If I was talking about somebody else and they spelled it with an 'i' then that's how I'd spell it, but only for them.
It's a matter of personal preference, that's the difference.

1 I couldn't think of a witty vampire joke so I'm just posting this, also this makes me miss my friend we use to call her "Chibi Vampire" because she hand really big fangs for a normal person, and she use to be so much taller then use, and then she got really short :D .... ... TwT I miss our chibi vampire, why'd you have to go to college and leave me in this small town TwT
