Shiro walked in behind Spike. and waved for the barkeep to send drinks.
"Well, whose arse did we save her now..."

[Armalite_]

"Don't know yet. That's why she's here." Spike replied, setting his hat down on the bar. He looked back as Frankie and Paul walked in behind the squirrel and closed the heavy door behind themselves. He turned back to look at Shiro. "Take care of business with the punk who pumped my car with lead?" He asked while fixing his hair with his hand.

"If i were him, i wouldn't try to walk with his face and spine blown out."
Shiro said with a hint of a grin, and patted his hidden shotgun.
"They are gonna need to stitch him back together... in hell."

[Armalite_]

Spike pursed a smile. "Excellent." He turned back to Paul and Frankie. His smile was gone. "Get that one into the back room. I got a few words for her." Paul and Frankie nodded before tugging the squirrel off into the cold storage room that was still stained with blood from the Stoat. They sat her down in the same chair.

Spike looked back at Shiro. "You ain't heard from Kitt yet, huh?"

Kitt finished washing out his fur, the water ran a rusty red as it gurgled down the sink.... Toweling himself dry he walked back out into the main room of the apartment, the small balcony looked out over the river, and there stood Jesse...
"You all cleaned up then?"
He nodded, smiling for the first time in a while.... "Yup... but i gotta make a phone-call first hun..." He stroked her cheek lightly as he turned and started to walk back inside... "Uh... Kitt.... My uhm... My mother, she wants to come see the apartment... and you..." Kitt stopped, frowning... "Whadya mean, AND me?"
She twisted her tail around one paw, watching him... "She well... She's the one who helped with rent when i was alone... and she just said she wanted to see you..... she can be quite demanding...."
Kitt shrugged concomitantly and went back inside to make the phonecall... Dialing the number Spike had given him more than three weeks ago... someone picked up after the third ring...
"Hi i'm looking for Mr.Gambino..."
Someone on the other end grunted somthing about going to get him...

A burly looking bulldog came up to Shiro.
"Sur... someone lookin for da Boss. Sounds catish..."
"oh that must be Kitt." Shiro said off hand. He turned to Mr. Gambino. "Its for you boss. Should I check to see if it is Kitt?"

[KittKat chunky~]

Kitt waited on the other end of the line, twisting the phone's cord around one finger... He tapped impatiently on the desk as he still waited..... Jesse walked over and put a paw on his shoulder, looking concerned... "You seem real on edge... look, if its about my mother wanting to see you... she doesnt mean bad... she just has my best interests at heart and.."

Kitt shushed her, still waiting impatiently for Mr.Gambino... Jesse frowned, paws on hips ... "Did you just shush me?... Oh boy you better not have just shushed me!" Kitt tried to wave her away in annoyance, Spike was taking his fair time... "You just did it again... you don't go shushing me i tell you... I thought you was a nice guy, diff'rent n' all.... sometimes your just like the rest..."

Kitt winced, torn between staying on the line and consoling an irate Jesse... he held the reciever away from one ear and talked quietly... "Look... I'm just tryin' ta make a call.. and really, it would help if i di'nt have you yabbering on in the background..." He wrapped one arm around her waist and smiled... It seemed that was enough for now, and Jesse stayed quiet as Kitt waited impatiently...

"WHAT!!! You do this to...to me?..." Sacha let her voice trail off as she realized that she had nowhere near the upper-hand in this situation. These punks were serious. And, judging by her surroundings, a tad bit on the bloodthirsty side as well. Her tail immeadiatley dropped stone cold and she sighed, placing a shivering, plump paw on her chest. This was going to be a tough one. A real scrap. But, if all else failed, she could always do...that...

[Armalite_]

Spike looked at Shiro then turned back in the direction of the storage room where they held Sacha. He sighed. "No, Shiro, I got it. Keep our guest company while I see what going on with Kitt." He patted Shiro on the shoulder before walking past him toward the phone...and he took his time about it too. He even stopped to light up a fat cigar. He made it to the receiver and put it to his ear. He leaned up against the wall and exhaled smoke as he spoke. "Can I help you?" Spike replied in his well known voice, his voice containing a hint of annoyance. He really wanted to get back to the squirrel.

[KittKat chunky~]

Kitt swapped the receiver to the other feline ear and rested his head against Jesse's shoulder... "Yo Boss... I'm guessin' your pretty bussy n' all so i'l keep it short... Jobs done, the rats stone dead..." Jesse pushed his head of her shoulder, frowning... Kitt looked up at her and whispered pleadingly "Look... I'm just doin' what i have to..." She shook her head, sighing... "Fine... Fine... I'm gonna go have a bath, and then we can talk about my mother seein' you...." Kitt shrugged, turning back to the receiver... "So Boss... will that be all then?"

Shiro nodded and walked over to the squirrel and sat down on a chair.
"Hello there, we just want to ask you a few questions."
She was portly for a squirrel, and he saw the con artist in her. The spark of deception flickered in her eyes and he knew she was turning the situation over in her mind. He would have done the same thing. It seemed to him that she was over her head.
"What I want to know, first off, is who are you." He could always check with the Rat when he was done with her, to verify, but he wanted to see what she said. He said that last remark with a warm, comforting face... his usual attitude.

[Armalite_]

Spike chuckled while ending it with a grin. Tobacco was ground in the paper between the fat roll in his mouth as he knawed on the end of it. "You did well, Kitt. Lay low for a while and keep ye'r head down from the heat. The boys and I will take care of da rest. Come on down to the bar if you're looking to talk." Spike didn't say goodbye before he hung up the reciever. He took one puff and walked away from the phone towards the back room with a dance in his step and smile on his face.

Sacha didn't answer right away, rather, she deliberately took a breath and stared Shiro right in the eye, fidgeting with the cigar in her left hand..."The name's Sacha Derterani. What's yours?" She didn't smile, just kept a straight face.

"Shiro. I run this place. I just want to know a little bit about you and why you were hanging out with those thugs in the car in front of us. You seemed to not be having a good time."
he waited for her response, keeping a calm face.

Sacha chuckled a little. She shook her head. "And what makes you think that is any of your business? You obviously don't want to help out with the situation, seeing as how you kidnapped me." She realized that she would have been kidnapped anyway, but, still...
