Just because I'm curious...

Why are you talking with him/her at all? I mean, it can be understandable if they were maybe an old friend or something or maybe if they seemed really sorry for what they did, but I don't understand why you'd want to talk to someone who purposefully lied to you and did something to hurt you. I know it's not really any of my business, and you don't have to answer if you don't want to. But like I said, I'm curious.
