mythbusters proved that coke could be used for a lot of strange cleaning things, they like use it to clean blood and chrome (and top gear used it to remove paint)

Blood is about as strong as a base as soda is as strong as an acid. So that's very plausible. For ceramic though, it would be difficult to clean with Coca-Cola with it.

Cherry Coke was very good, back when I would drink soda. I loved that stuff. (Although I usually preferred the Cherry 7-up, actually.)
