Yay! A whole furry day to draw furries!
« on: September 24, 2008, 10:04:59 PM »
Well, tomarrow I have absolutely nothing to do. No school, no homework, no chores, just me and my sketchbook.

My arsenal:

Copier paper

Hole puncher

Colored pencils

A fresh pack of the good old #2 pencils

But the thing is, I am lacking ideas! waaaahhhh! I have just gotten started in the fandom, so I'm not sure what I should draw first..maybe work on my fursona a bit?

What do you guys do when you need ideas?

Just ask people if they want a fursona drawn and they will describe it. If you are really good you should do commisions. That simply means you get paid for yyour art. Like most comms. are $10-$15 a sketch and $20-$30 edited sketch/colored it also depends on your style and how well you shade and color and how personalized your art  is.

Nah. I'm nowhere near good enough to get paid, or to be trusted with drawing another person's fursona. I did manage a few drawings though.

$10-15 is actually a very affordable price. I know some furs who charge a basic fee of $55 for the lineart of a basic pose. The more detailed you are , the higher the price. Plus, to take you for more cash, they sell you the rights to the art. That might cost an extra $10. So I see $10-15 as a very reasonable price.
