you guys probably make alot of scence but not to me...

i just joined up to this because i read somewhere that people who felt they were more animal then human were called Furry's, and myself and the Wolf inside me don't need labels, we know what we are... so... yeah

yeah, there are some furries who are like that, im one of them... i dont know what animal though, even though ive been told i am a lot like a fox, but well.. a lot of people use it as fun, some as a believe, like we do :)

that makes 3 therians on this thread :D

religion and believe is a huge, huge difference, you can believe in the easterbunny, but he isnt a religion, and even though you dont have to believe in god, he is a religion

Furries arn't "pretend" therians, it's just a different thing, albeit with overlap.  Furry's just a general term for anyone with interest in anthropomorphic animals (that is, animals with human characteristics).  "Fandom" is just a term for anything related to furry-ness.  Most furries also have fursonas, which can be anything from a RP character, themself as an animal, or just a basic alter-ego.  It isn't quite the same as a therian's inner animal/wereside/phenotype, although many therians who consider themselves as furries as well will have a fursona based upon their animal nature.

I don't know if the word gets used as much anymore, but when I was more active in the online therian community (I kinda got less involved and then disappeared due to drama and real life circumstances), it was a common term for one's animal nature.
