weird virus..?
« on: July 11, 2016, 06:26:57 AM »
Every time I power on my computer, it has a crash screen, or The blue screen of DEATH
But instead of the usual resolve message, it has a frown like this:  : (
And the text reads:

"Oops, an extremely unexpected error occurred, rebooting the system."

It will lock my account after it re-boots as well. Is this a virus or what?
Malwarebytes and my other scanners/cleaners just fished out trash and the usual tracking cookies.

If it looks like this, that's how the blue screen it was updated in Windows 8 and up so it's normal.

Though it might be good to look into it because a blue screen is never a good sign..

What's the error code it mentions? It's the last bit of the thin text where it says "You can search online later for this error: THIS TEXT

I think Windows 10 actually has slightly goofy error messages like that. Maybe a hardware error? I was getting all sorts of funkiness recently until I swapped out my RAM. What do you mean by "locks [your] account"?

Yeah, that's what I meant. From Windows 8 and up they changed it to look like that.

And RAM is actually one of the most common pieces of hardware to have such problems! Which is why most retailers and manufactures are very generous with warranties and replacing faulty sticks.
