Ah, one of the black and white ones. I never owned one of those, but my mom used to have one. At least you can get some books on there to keep you busy.

Maybe you can get a kindle fire or a laptop for your next birthday.

Ah, that's no good. Gotta pull your grades up! If you wanna work for NASA or the government you'll need a stellar record.

All I have to do is make a life changing device, get a patent, and wait for the gov. to come crawling on their knees.

Well, if you really do make a patent that's revolutionary then you might be able to make some money off of it and even get a job offer. But inventing something that groundbreaking is incredibly difficult.

Plus, to make something like that you'll need to study hard anyway. May as well get better grades in the process.

But sadly, I cannot own a patent at fifteen. It would belong to my parents.

Yep, gotta wait until you're old enough. But I doubt you could design a functional patent yet, you've still gotta learn the principles of engineering and design. Most inventors don't create something groundbreaking until they've already been through some kind of engineering school.

Well, you can design the look of them and stuff. But your designs probably won't work in practice unless you understand high-level physics and engineering.

It's good that you have a passion for these things though. If you put that passion to work and keep studying your chosen field, you could make some really impressive designs one day.

Haha, I don't doubt you can become a great inventor if you put your mind to it. But nobody makes their best stuff when they're 15.

I know I've still got a lot to learn myself. My coding is pretty basic and inefficient, and I only know 1 language so far.
