"Very well, sir - that'll be just a moment," the clerk said. She worked on her computer, depositing Fayam's money. "Let me ask you something," she said as she was finishing up, "Did the Prophets put up any real fight when you went in to capture them?"

Three warships appeared for Anna's escort - one was the heavily-armed, arrowhead-shaped Predator-class Battleship, the DMCS Iron Regent - K'torr's flagship - and the other two were upsized and modified variations of the sith Harrower-class Star Destroyer. "Captain Anna, set course for your home world," K'torr requested, "We'll see to it you get there safely. The Tal Shiar would be fools to challenge this group - I wager they still remember the last time they faced down the Iron Regent."

*snap-hiss*
A second crimson blade went active - Jason now held two blades ready for the kill.
"This won't help you, Jason - you know that," Amy told Jason with a shaky voice. "My intent coming here was not to fight you."
"Then you die here!" Jason snarled as his eyes went yellow. He lunged, and Amy's blades went active. The duel was over before it could begin. In a flurry, Amy had wounds on Jason's shoulders, and he howled in pain. Amy immediately extinguished her blades and knelt down before Jason, teary-eyed. "Go ahead!" Jason snarled again. "Finish what you started!"
"No!" Amy shouted. "You think I enjoy hurting you? I never wanted to harm you, Jay! Three days, baby! Three days before our six-month anniversary! We don't need this!"
Jason heaved a trembling sigh, sounding on the verge of tears. "I was ready to kill you, and still, you see me as your lover," he said. "How can I be yours, though? After what I did?"
"Baby," Amy assured Jason, "You had no choice! That wasn't a tinker-toy in that kid's hand, that was a machine pistol! He would have drilled you, me, anyone that came along! You had to stop him... I'm just sorry I never saw that to begin with!"
"You don't know what it's like, Amy!" Jason sobbed. "We both have killed people before, but you haven't killed a kid! You didn't kill a baby!"
"Stop that, Jason!" Amy exclaimed. "You and I both know if you hadn't stopped him, he would have killed others who did nothing to deserve to die... besides, he's not dead."
Jason looked up at Amy, tears flowing like rivers. "What?" he whispered.
"The medics got to him just in time," Amy told Jason. "He'll still serve time, but you can rest assured, his blood is not on your hands."
There was an uncomfortable pause between the two before Jason buried his face in Amy's shoulder and sobbed. Amy just held onto him, tears flowing from her eyes, as well.

Lokahviing stepped onto the bridge, looking around. "NSF Command to Grand Admiral Lokahviing," Lokahviing's comm unit went off, "We have our USR ally on the line." Lokahviing looked to Commander Shoon, gesturing to what he assumed was the communications console.
"May I?" he asked.

After getting his drink, Drake went back to his room and laid down next to Amie and drifted off to sleep. However, his mind began going back in time, back to the lab he was created in... the fires... the screams as the personnel burned with the lab... Drake slept, twitching every so often as he remembered the start of his journey - the destruction of the illegal Weyland-Yutani Corporation lab...
