Laptop external battery that won't bust the bank
« on: January 09, 2016, 09:52:16 AM »
Hello everybody, I hope that this isn't too hard a question to answer but I really need help with this.

I have a laptop with  a very small battrey, it can last 3-5 hours without a recharge but I need to use it for my school projects and I don't know if it can go though 4 hours (Using Photoshop, Illustrator and local host server hosting all in one day) without my laptop dying or having a freeze every once and awhile.

Does anyone know where to get something like this from, I would use power bank the one I own but it can't power a laptop (Which sucks because the one I have could charge my laptop 4 times over)  @.@

uhh first imma adress the local server hosting issue

why do you need to do that when it could be feesable to find a way to host the server somewhere else (home or such that can be used with such programs like filezilla or such)

as for the battery bank those can be few and in between to find and even then the abilty to find one that can push the amps and such needed would be harder

also could your battery be getting old and just save cash and replace it with a bigger one thats new?

Thank you for replying. First of all, I need to use XAMPP for my computing course or my teacher might kill me and second of all, I got this laptop 2 weeks ago and the only battery that I've found that's bigger and fits was £80  x_x

I'm also laking a home PC for the moment and the internet at school is really unstable (The connection drops every couple of minutes),  I also think that the adobe stuff is probably worse for battrey use and they're no getting around using it

as is with all school nets theres those that can be unstable on wifi

also your doing web design i thought that would have been using dream weaver for that (i only remember ever using that)

most pc's at home can be built cheap if you have some spare parts or just need something that can do what you want

i know my upgrade is costing me around 600 to 700 dollers to do

We were told to use anything but Dreamweaver, we use Notepad++ for everything at the moment. And anyway, XAMPP/Apachie/PHP/MySQL isn't too taxing on the system anyway, I think Firefox uses more energy at that point
