My Grandfather had skin cancer on the top of his scalp when he was doing Police work, he was bald and they wouldn't let him wear an Officers Cap because it would impede his line-of-sight. So he got sunburns that eventualy turned into cancer in later years. The Doctors removed the dark spots and he was fine, that was like ten years ago, and he is alive and well.

yeah like 70% of the people i know at school have had a skin cancer or mole removed (although they were a lot smaller)
