I've been thinking of this super elaborate story for over a year now.  I have characters, backstory, and even had a friend draw my characters. But I haven't even written a concise story.

I am the same exact way. I can have an entire story "written" in my mind, but most of the time when I try putting it on paper it goes away and I'm stuck on the first page. lol
