*$500 later* I could have spent about $400 more to get the HDR-XR550V but... it's only 4 more megapixels so my computer can explode when trying to play the theater quality hd video x.x, besides that I hear Sony Vegas is almost required in that degree and im gonna be using it for the night vision mode.
