I know but it has had spectacular ratings, it might be terrible to you, but I don't think that's a completely accurate assumption.

I think music artists are a completely different story, but video games are more like works of art because they have to put years of work into them and it took over TEN years to make the Half Life 2 series, whereas music takes only a few days or months to make albums >_>

Ha! That is also a clear undertatement! You can't just throw random lyrics into a song and throw a few barre chords about! You have to do it from the heart, make the lyrics and their message make sense while being catchy, and a nice play! You don't pick up a guitar and suddenly become Jimi Hendrix either! Look at some discographies, over the time some bands have been alive, using your logic they should have tons and tons of songs! Using ratings to support your claim won't work!

Not really, the average human lives 600 months for his life, and the first 192 months are spent developing the skills to become a music artist, so that leaves only approximately 408 months of your life to make music, so artists only complete about 6-8 albums max with an approximate of 12 songs for each. Music is not really my trade though, I'm into videogames and I always found celebreties to be boring.
