Ten years ago today, a house part in RuneScape went horribly wrong.

Upon becoming the first player to reach level 99 construction, Cursed You hosted a party in his mansion to celebrate. At this party was a boxing ring, where players could fight for fun. This is where things turned dark. The boxing ring had a glitch that kicked players from Cursed You's home, and teleported them back to Falador--with combat still enabled. The victims could not retaliate, as the glitch only affected Cursed You's guests. Many lives were lost, and many party  hats were never seen again.

I remember hearing about the Falador Massacre. Wasn't on Runescape much at the time, though. My internet was crap back then.

Apparently Jagex have changed their stance on how to handle the Falador massacre.
Before, even mentioning it was enough to get you muted.
Now, they're holding a huge free-for-all safe PvP event in Falador featuring the "ghost" of Durial himself, as well as planning on adding a memorial statue thing in Falador park.
Not that I'm complaining too much.

[The Past]

I should hop on there later. I spent lots of time earning gold for armor sets on OSRS. Once I got those, I took a break and didn't get back to it for a couple months.

I've only played Runescape once, never really liked it. But a game I adored was MGO2, but to bad Konami is a bunch of F***'s and shut it down.
