Pros and Cons of Fursuiting?
« on: October 04, 2015, 05:06:08 PM »
I've been wondering about fursuiter for the past couple of weeks. I think suits look absolutely adorable! I think I have enough money to order a fursuit of my fursona, but before I do: what are the upsides of Fursuiting and the downsides of it? Is a fursuit a wise investment?

Hey there, Sorry if this is a bit late!

The first thing to consider is that if you're going to end up growing out of the fursuit, this only really applies to people under 16..? ish?
Secondly you'll need to keep in mind that it's going to get surprisingly hot in there, I didn't have a good time after first wearing my fursuit even with a cooling fan

It's great fun when you can do it though, being able to express your creativeness in physical form feels good when you're walking around at a convention
Though that's not to say that you need a fursuit to go to a convention and have fun.

Also, a quick sidenote - you'll more than likely need a DTD (Duct tape dummy) - this is where you wrap yourself in duct tape to provide a realistic size comparison for your commissioner to use for reference. if you plan on making one yourself you won't need this.

Hope this helps!
