But metric is useful everywhere! One thing I can somewhat understand is Fahrenheit because you're using the entire 0-100 scale for normal naturally occurring temperatures. Not saying I'd use it. But I kinda understand.
Also... Used plastic forks... I'd prefer not to think about that.

What? There are no different metric units... Not that I know of. Besides some countries using centyliters as base, some decyliters, some mililiters. But that stuff you can just add or remove a zero and you're home.

It's not metric there Firox metric has meters, imperial has feet and yards and miles and pounds and gallons and who knows what else.
Metric so much simpler. Just decimal increases, no issues. Liter is just 0.001 cubic meter, so it's easy too.

But then it's not that super easy to know what 300lbs means without a calculator. Unless I'd want to spend my precious brain power on doing 300/2.2.
Or just do "okay Google, what is 300 pounds in kilograms". That works.

Or convert murica to metric.

From my understanding, having both measurement systems is useful.
Sure, metric is exact and covers just about everything, but it's less understood from what I have seen. And this,... non metric measurement is simple, easy to and quick to leran, but flawed since it isnt always exact measurement. Does metric apply to cooking, too? Or am I thinking too far into it..

I don't see why it wouldn't apply to cooking... And how is it harder to learn? You basically have one unit of 1 meter and then you either multiply or divide it by 10. And since we are using base 10 it's all round and nice. If we were using base 12 I'd consider imperial with a foot being 12 inches and that sort of things.
I can kinda translate it. A bit. But why not have everything the same? If the rest of the world accepts imperial somehow I'm willing to accept it too so we all agree. But it's easier to convert just America to metric
