Personally, I know it today from the abridged series. That's still a thing. And it's an awesome thing.

Never watched the abridged series... should probably do that.

You definitely should. Even most of the voice actors from the original series say lines from the abridged one. Except Kaiba, supposedly. Which is sad 'cause he has the most iconic line of that series!
