I don't really know how to magic tho >->'
Just this teeny tiny bit of ice magic.
Or well, now that I have hands it's easier to work with magic, so I suppose I should practice a bit more.
I've tried learning how to work with the other ancient elements, but they're just so different from ice they make no sense.
Like, ice is solid and tangible and all that. Easy to shape and keep in shape. It comes naturally to me.
Blood is also tangible but not quite solid, and also kinda gross.
Smoke is still kinda tangible but not solid, so that's just really confusing. Not to mention how even the tiniest gust of wind will -always- make it end up in your face somehow. Or just otherwise send it flying in all possible and impossible directions. Teachers were not impressed.
And then shadow is just near-impossible, because it's neither solid nor tangible. But I guess that's for the best, because that stuff is kinda scary.
Suppose I should just try to move over to the natural elements instead, but I believe I'd run into similar issues there despite them supposedly being easier to learn.
Plus, they're kinda frowned upon, as the ancient school of magics is considered "more advanced" and somehow "more pure and noble" where I'm from >->
To me it just feels like trying to build a house on an unstable foundation.
And it kinda keeps people who are not naturally gifted with magic from learning it too.
But, such is life in the Empire.
...Except I'm NOT there anymore.
Heck, I'm not even in the same universe!
Hmmm...
*Looks around, decides to try levitating a pebble. It flies up and hits my nose*
Well, that's a start I guess..
