Should I change my fursona?
« on: May 29, 2015, 12:14:32 AM »
So my current fursona is a dragon which I love,i've been using it for a long time...but now i've started drawing anthro moths and they're damn cute... should I change or remain a dragon?  (not going to hybrid so I cant have the best of both worlds. :/

Think about it for a while. It is better to choose something you will adhere to for a good length of time than it is to constantly change every few days or weeks.

My advice, make a second fursona, if he/she starts to "Take over" for an extended period of time then switch.

there is nothing wrong with multiple fursonas but remember that your main one is how people identify you, switching that one constantly is a pain for everyone else to keep track of, so its best to be certain before you switch.

I personally have 3 fursonas currently "Active"

Angder(Wolf)
Fout(Koala)
Grunan(snake)

All weapons were drawn by Zarc.

Yes, like Angder said, make another. I have eight fursonas and usually just identify as Armonia.
You do what you want, we'll support you.
And, moth dragon hybrids are really cool.

Then don't change the species, just because you like their look.
I chose being a catwolf hybrid, because of their characteristics. Nothing else.
Cat, because they are independent and have good agility.
Wolf, because they are strong and scary.

Look at it that way.

My first fursona was a Fox and I still love him.
You can have the best of both worlds in that you can have two.

the thing is though is that both species fit...

Dragons in the furry world are similar to humans in personality (i've noticed) each is unique
i'm someone who is respectful and dignified (pfeh dignified) which are what dragons are
dragons can be nocturnal and have a variety of gifts and talents
no dragon fursona is the same

as for moths... they are nocturnal, different species of moths can carry different meanings (like the black witch moth [i think thats the name] which usually ends up cursing someone [i was born friday the 13th so I'm the embodiment of bad luck])...i am deceitful and manipulative at times like the wings of a moth's back... and I'm easily attracted to shiny things :P

so the problem isnt that i cant find a species that isnt like me (aesthetics were a big part of why i'm questioning it)... as far as hybrids go .-. i'm just not a huge fan of the idea (personally).... thinking about it... "i'm a dragon moth hybrid" not only has a snobby sound to thetone it also sounds really ... odd.... which fits i guess because i'm an odd person... but how the heck did a moth and a dragon get it on ;)[/i][/i]

I think i'm going to go with the change :/ i still have a reasonable doubt but the thing is though, personality wise they seem more specific to the kind of person i am
