The sun was out today, it was a rare sight to see nowadays. Factory smoke would fill the sky with its black and dirty looking clouds covering the sun in all its glory. But I guess mother nature had enough of The Union just as much as everyone else was. "Now handing out rations at the town hall. You have thirty minutes to grab yours today" The same voice would be heard at the same time on the every Monday. The Union anthem began to play over the loud speakers, every day it would play at this same time. Union Officers could be seen strolling along the cat walks above the streets, their evil looks in there eyes could be seen behind those red goggles. Today was also a very special day for The Union, it marked the day they took over earth. That damn anthem of theirs would probably be playing all day.
Loud footsteps could be heard walking down the corridors of the apartments were everyone slept, crying could be heard going down the hall way while someone screamed at the small and withered voice that emitted those cries. The crying could be heard going down the stairs then out the door. It began to fade, it faded until nothing but the loud speakers with The Union anthem playing in the background was heard. 'We come in peace. We are hear for your safety.' What a bunch of lies...
