I have no idea what the hell my upstairs neighbours are doing/cooking to make my apartment, especially the bathroom (thanks to the ventilation system or something), AND the stairwell smell like smoke/something is about to catch fire.
It happens several times a month. HOW?! WHY?!
I'm no master chef, but during my five years of living here, I've only accidentally set off the fire alarm once, and I never really burn things badly enough for them to start stinking up the place either.

All I know is that it's making me feel mildly concerned about leaving my apartment. Just in case.

[The Past]

I tried to make tofu noodles with a weird sauce recipe I came up with some time ago. I put the sauce on the noodles, but the noodles weren't as well-drained as I thought, and it ended up turning the cheese in the sauce into a stringy mess that stuck to the bowl. Trying to evaporate the water out only did the *opposite*. The watery pasta, my getting ridiculously pissed off at food sticking to dishes, and being on edge after dealing with a bug swarm in my room boiled up into me punching the bowl of pasta in cuss-filled fury.

I moved back to Maine from Vegas to take care of my dad. We live in a tiny house in the woods and was going to buy a piece of property just across the road to build our own place. Just as we were about to finish the deal, we were told that they couldn't sell it to us after all because they had promised it to a family member. It took them three months to remember that promise and two minutes to break my heart.

I think my oldest cat is getting senile. He's literally starving, as in lost half his body weight. Not because we aren't feeding him, or because of any digestive issues, or thyroid problems, or cancer or disease. We've had him checked. He's just not eating. We can get him to eat a little if we give him what he likes, like tuna, or chicken baby food, but he turns up his nose at everything else, even as he's begging for food.


On top of that, he's been pooping on the floor. He pees in his box, but poops on the floor.

i've lost my sewing needle like 500 times. and right after i find it again i lose it again.

Walked 8km and found the place I was looking for on the first try. Yay me.
Unfortunately I wasn't wearing shoes suitable for longer walks, so now my feet are all torn up.
There also amazingly enough wasn't even a single trash can along the way, so I ended up having to put an ice cream-y ice cream wrapper in my pocket. Had this been Kentucky, I could have ended up in trouble for that.
That hoodie is going to need a wash now.
