It drowns out the outside world, and gives me a world of my own to explore, and to express my emotions through. If I'm angry, I can turn to music to express it for me. Happy? There's songs for that. Sad? If I need a cry, I know the songs that'll evoke that response.

Bands for me to do so in this order: Slayer, Metallica, Slayer/Disturbed/Megadeth/KoRn, and easily KoRn.

Music enthralls me. It encourages me, and it empowers me. I don't use it nearly as much for escapism, but almost like a way to hear a voice that knows what I feel if I do listen to cope with something. I do enjoy linking tunes with scenes, and I love to let it influence parts of my imagination as well.

Plus, it's one thing I can talk about with others to potentially make friends who enjoy the same stuff.
