Parents. Strict. HELP please :(

Well im a bit stuck, you see my parents are strict and ive been doing great for about a year now. though i now have a job they wont even let me buy my own phone. Im quite tired of being completely tied down, i already plan on moving out next year but can anyone help me last through this one?

i was only able to get my own phone this year and even then it was not on a plain i pay for the credit on it and everything plus it has my computer hooked up to it so i think they are trying to help really because if you lose it and u check ur bank online major trouble there and if you take it to say school or work best advice put a lock on it i use a pin code for oth because my first ones screens shattered and the second one has no sim and be careful who you give ur number to when you get it apart from that i cant help anymore

Tell your parents about what you would need the phone for (eg, safety, communication, to keep in touch with friends.) Is there any specific reason why your parents forbid you from buying a phone?

Thanks but ive tried that and my dads strict on not letting me get one im not even sure about my mother anymore i mean we argued about me doing good in a class. yes i had a picture of an ex in her bra that i didnt ask for but her friend had sent it. it was an major offense that i didnt know about they had also forbid me from deleting my messages so partially not my fault.

If you don't mind me asking...
If you're sixteen and above they should
really let you have a cell phone if not just to
keep in touch for your job. You need to tell them
nicely if they don't want to loose you then they need
to loosen up their grip on you. You're almost a young adult after all
they can't treat you like a little kid forever and if they did they probably
won't be seeing you too often.

Well im almost seventeen and ive tried saying reasons why i need it and my dad just stays with no. Its as if im the worst child in the world, at least thats what it feels like. my only escape is my friends house but ive never done anything wrong that seems horrible, no drinking or smoking, no drugs i make straight A's in school
