Ray raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Only two? Must be tearing the poor man apart."

[Aconitum]

Magnolia chuckled. "Perhaps. Thank goodness they were only listed as disappearances and not murder." She sighed. "He did a pretty good job."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray nodded, as they approached the castle. "I bet. I'll have to talk to him later. Where's he staying?"

[Aconitum]

"He should be staying in the very top level of the castle. It's off limits to the public, so you shouldn't have a problem up there." Mags walked in and a man escorted them to a fine table in the back of the dining area.

Ray pulled out Magnolia's chair, and held it for her. He moved it back into place after she sat, and took his own seat. "So...can I ask a question?"

[Aconitum]

Magnolia smiled and nodded eagerly. "Yes? What is it?"

[Rayleonarde]

Ray sighed. "Don't be upset, but...what ever happened to Acon?"

[Aconitum]

Magnolia's ears dropped. "Acon? She's in Acension city, working with Herman."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray saw Magnolia's ears drop, and held her paws. "I'm sorry. I didn't know it was a sensitive subject."

[Aconitum]

Magnolia shook her head. "No no. I just.... I haven't been able to really face her in a long time."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray sighed. "Then we'll do it together. Me and you, we'll see her."

[Aconitum]

Magnolia rubbed her eyes with the back of her paw. "She won't remember you. She's been reborn so many times..."

[Rayleonarde]

Ray shrugged. "I think she'll remember."

[Aconitum]

Magnolia nodded. "I hope so. I hope she can forgive me. Letting her with her father was the worse mistake I've ever made."

Ray sighed. "You weren't thinking straight. You were grieving, Magnolia. I'll explain it to her."
