People who use God as a reason to spew their hate...
« on: October 20, 2013, 11:44:36 PM »
I am absolutely SICK of people claiming to follow Christ, but having such closed minded and hateful things to say!  I don't even mind too much that they have the misconception that furries have relations with animals, which of course is completely bogus, but to use our Creator to spread the hate!
People like this make Christians look like bigots and furries look like demonic, perverted animal defilers
sorry for the rant but UUUUUUURRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

This being the Rants and Advice board I am going to give my advice.
You need to calm down. You are letting what people say get to you entirely too much when in reality it shouldn't really matter. The Furry Fandom is a very hated on clique. You should know this and just tolerate it.

just tolerate it.

I'm not sure that's the word you should have used because you sound like you're supposed to accept crap from others as a form of regular communication.

I don't think so. I'd advise against promoting that kind of attitude unless you're going to distinguish opinions to flat out insults.

Don't set yourselves up to become victims your whole lives. Know when to stand up for yourself and when not to. There's a considerable difference between being the better person and when you're just taking straight abuse (especially hate).

I think you meant people don't need to concern themselves with social issues, especially ones online and take their  messages personally. People fought and died to have freedom of free speech and they're going to unfortunately use it beyond your control whether we agree with them or not.

But we sure as hell don't tolerate hate, bro. Not around here.

I personally don't do anything in the name of god.

If I take a good action must I only do it in gods name? Or should I just take good actions on a regular basis to me all good actions are divine even if taken by those without faith and those of different faiths.

Also if I was meant to discriminate against anyone why do I feel it is wrong to do so if it is gods will I judge that person?

That's just how I feel in my faith I guess.

A lot of people mean well... they just don't do well...

Y'know, it's really a double stereotype. Many religious people, NOT JUST CHRISTIANS, are very judgmental. Believe me, first hand experiences beyond what many will know have plagued me with this. Furries think religious people think furries are all hobknockers and dog lovers. See how that sentence flip flops? It's such a common thing. Look at the elder generation and their hatred for videogames, for example.  It's the same thing, because kids don't expect their parents to know anything about videogames as well. Get it?

Just because someone is a Christian and has a hit out on furries doesn't mean you go and but a brand on all believers. Because if you do, you're putting a brand on some of your fellow furry fans on this website, including me, and I wouldn't hate you even if you had a dog for a boyfriend/girlfriend. So what? Life is way too freakin short to let other people tell you who you are.

To end my rambling on a positive note, half of those accusers are animal lovers themselves, I'll PM you my story on that if you want  XD

Well, I am a Christian and that's what pisses me off so much about it.
