It's said the personality assessment can't be distorted unless if you don't answer the questions about yourself correct, may be you were confused on one or two questions?


You can also obtain a flipped personality if you are under stress or life affects your ways of doing things a bit at the moment, personalities tend to be more set in stone when one is at a more constant way of life.
You might also have a personality disorder if you can't resolve your personality very well.


INFJ seems to be a personality change succession from INFP where one has perceived enough to feel to become conservative and become more judging, it also plays political as the personality where one feels the need of change for a greater good, hence they are sometimes dubbed as "protectors".


I have to take the assessment very slowly every time to find the seemingly correct assessment, and this is always the same.
It doesn't take the assessment to know what personality you are, anyway, but it can help you determine, if you answer truthfully then without pre-knowledge of the results you cannot forward a personality you find ideal over what you may really be.

Actually I would blame the test, I may have been bit confused with one or two questions but I answered honestly. I'll retake it eventually but I feel the test for me isn't super accurate. (Some questions also were quite vauge with little option for something in between.

Well, based on results with previous tests on other websites plus careful reading of the descriptions for all the different types, I must say those two, ISTP and INFJ, are both describing my ways of acting and being very well but still it feels they do so in different ways, different sides of me that are independent of each other.
As said before I have considered the possibilities of having multiple personalities. (Which is backed up by the fact that I tend to speak to myself switching between the 1st and 3rd person perspective and use two different voices. (One of them being that I imagine of my fursona)

Are you sure those tests were legit, though? May be you found a personality in test and wanted to fulfill up to it, only to find another test says that is not the case. I think, I, myself, have multiple identities but I think the personalities remain the same between, I'm locked in my ways, I suppose and I think my result (INFP) lives up to describe my personality, especially for how I have been most of my life. So it could be any reason in your case, but I feel the result are legitimate because I find it describes many people very well, just a hole in the results for your type, perhaps.

Yes I am, I took the test at http://similarminds.com/jung.html previously and both me and my friends were surprised how accurate the results were for this.

The one you linked however didn't give me nor 2 other friends any very accurate results. And I, as said, when checking out the other ones found that ISTP (which aforementioned site resulted in) is the overall best fitting and most accurate one for me with INFJ fitting very closely to what I feel is a second side/personality I have.

One thought is that because I'm quite varied in my personality based on the situation (hence how I feel I fit very well into two quite different ones as said) the test isn't made to figure out that gray zone and thus resulted in what it believes is something in between those two I feel I fit with. Also I had quite low percentages I remember for all but the I (introvert) (between 5-20% for the last 3 letters).

I can't remember my old percentages but you might just have a very fluid personality(/ies), I get the same result on all tests I try so I don't know what to say, I'm not a psychologist I am just curious. The questions seemed near identical to me, as well, just labelled slightly different and the one I posted in most notable.

Might be flip traits of some other personality, I'm pretty introverted as an INFP but can turn to attention seeking in lack of personal hope or my depressions.

True, but they are pretty accurate actually. I've been called all these stuff atleast once. Prolly the first personal test I've taken that isnt totally wrong.
