I Need Outside Help...
« on: July 15, 2012, 06:27:19 AM »
I've come here first, as I've heard this is a very forgiving community. I am going to say right now: I am not a furry. I've been friends with furries though, for years, so don't leave...

I've met a girl who is a furry today, that I've found beautiful. However, I have no idea on how to attract her, as I have no experience with furries in that regard. I was wondering if there is anything special I would have to do to attract said female. Her fursona is a fox, if helps you.

Please don't ignore my pleas for help just because I personally am not one of you... Thank you in advance...

Don't worry my fair man. Although this is technically a place for furries, we accept all manner of people here (long as they follow the rules mind you ;)).

As for your "problem", I wouldn't even classify it as such! Being a furry isn't something that means her entire outlook on others, it just means that she enjoys anthropomorphic animals. Her having a fursona just means that she identifies with a human-like fox.

"Attract" her just as you would anyone else. Hopefully she will like you just as much as you like her.

Good luck in your endeavors!

Like Otebon said, you can attract a furry girl the same way you would attract anyone else. We're still normal people.

But if it helps, keep in mind that most furries tend to care about animals a lot. Things like seeing a fox at a zoo, or gifts like a small stuffed fox toy, would likely be more special to her than the average person. No guarantees though... just an idea. :P

Sounds to me like you already had the thought of meeting another furry when you joined and you really like that idea... but a furry girl is still a girl.... what's the difference, again? Just be cheesy. Girls eat that up, no matter what clique. Just be sure to target her personality type in a positive way. Nerdy generally works, too, just don't over do those two or do them incorrectly.

Furries are people too. :P
You can attract a furry girl the same way as any other girl as long as her whole world doesn't revolve around furries (which I'm sure it doesn't).
Just be yourself. Don't pretend to be something that you're not, that will just cause you trouble later since girls don't like to figure out that they fell for something fake.
Just hang out with her and learn what she likes and go from there.

Also...not all girls like guys being cheesy. >.>

I wasn't rewriting what you said, I was writing my opinion on the subject, which is something I was going to post after Zeph's response (the last response here when I first read this thread) but I didn't feel like it at the time.

And I told him not to be something that he isn't, which wasn't anywhere in your post. So yeah. People's responses come pretty close a lot of the time in threads like this.

Didn't mean to offend you there; my emoticon implied a sarcastic tone. Also, I just told him what most girls very generally like.

Yeah, as pretty much everyone's said, we're still people. Woo her like you'd woo her if she wasn't a furry. Maybe tell her you even asked advice on a furry site because you really didn't want to offend her.
