I changed a car tire today!!

My brother was driving me to school and we got a flat tire, so he said I should learn how to change a tire and I did! He even let me figure it out on my own and only had to show me how to do 1 thing (I put the jack sideways on accident so he showed me where it went) but otherwise I did it all on my own! I like figuring things out :)

It was really hot though and I got all icky and sweaty though so we just went home and I'm staying home from school today, but I learned something so it's ok! :) It was fun! And now when I'm old enough to have my own car, I know I'll be able to change my own tire if I have to so I don't have to call a tow truck :)

I just wanted to share hehe, I'm happy :) Yay!

a very simple, yet useful skill, that a surprising number people dont have xD

next you should ask him to show you how to check and change the oil! :D just as useful, and, nearly as simple :P

Yes, but rolling down the window is harder since that darn button is sometimes hard to find.

those darn handles can be hard to find too xD


but, uh, partially on topic,
learn to: check the oil, check the tire pressure, and check the coolant ^_^

best skills you can have to make sure you don't get stuck anywhere, and keep any vehicle in tip top shape. All extremely easy too :P

Good job! All the time I see people unsure on how to do anything with their vehicle, period. Last thing I heard about a tire on my end, was they didn't know if they were going the wrong way with the lug wrench. So they kept reversing directions, eventually getting frustrated and drove the car on a flat. So kudos for sure :)

Also keep in mind, it doesn't hurt to look things up as previously mentioned, engine oil. But besides that, the coolant is incredibly important to know at least where it is. Another thing I see quite often is people filling up their coolant with windshield washer fluid, and vice versa. Which isn't good...
