Tape worms actually don't have many negative effects, sometimes they can grow in parts of your body that they're not supposed to grow in, but usually they don't. Removing them is a very disgusting and scary procedure, but it's not painful. Actually sometimes it isn't disgusting, sometimes they simply come out in your poo XD
