Digital or Tradition, a Black and white art is not going to be effected much by JPEG as a color would

I use JPGs to post my artwork, and they can work just fine. It's not always a humongous difference. PNGs are designed for better quality, but as long as you have a program that compresses them well, it's really not a big deal.

So that's why your art always has this fuzziness to them...

EDIT : Bah forget it I was going to tease WZ and turn it into a "Your character has fur and thus its fuzzy" joke. *Sigh* For the sake of staying on topic I'll just leave it be

I always save my stuff as PNGs, they have good quailtiy, and i don't normally use animation. The only drawback would be the size, 570 KB for png, but only about 60 KB for the ugly JPG.

I just use 95% .JPG Everything still looks nice, and its stays about 200-400kbs ( for a 800 x 1000 sketch )

I'm no artist, but if I wanted a very high quality image I would use bitmap (bmp) with full compression/quality (or whatever it is)
I usually use PNG.

Though if I had to choose out of JPG or GIF, I would use GIF.
For both though, make sure the quality is as high as possible or you will/may get noticeable quality loss.

* Edit: Bitmaps are usually larger in file size.

JPEG = FTW lol (It works fine on digital art as well >.< lol and because its digital art it also keeps the size down to around 200-250 kb)
