for most of it, for the frantic escape from the zombies, and middway in your run, your companion gets bitten, and you try your hardest to save them, but you and they realize there's nothing you can do, and at 3:06 you clasp hands and kiss for the last time, before your forced to shoot him/her to show mercy on them, and the absoulute end after that is the sadness of having to kill your loved one for the sake of being kind.
