The Battle of Hastings was not fought at Hastings, but was in fact fought at Battle.
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

A guy got hacked for cutting down the Saxon's sacred oak of Oden when he tried to convert them to Catholicism. :3

Don't cut down oak trees White!  x3

I'd to update this random fact:

That poor sucker that got hacked, his name was St. Boniface.

He was preaching Catholicism to Germanic tribes (the Saxons) and he threatened them and told them to give up their Pagan practices.  Well...  They gave up their beliefs until him and his party left.  Then they went right back to Paganism.  He returned and cut down the sacred oak of Odin.  Then they happily cut his head off in return.  :3

See kids?  History is fun!  :D

Mr. T pities fools because even fools deserves their daily dose of vitamin T

ok, a proper fact?

Chocolate is poisonous.

Update: oooooh I just found an awesome one, and I wanna post it before I forget or lose it. The largest living organism weighs 6,000 tonnes and is 80,000 years old. It's called Pando, but is also known as The Trembling Giant, and is basically a colony of genetically identical trees all connected by the root system. It spreads of 43 hectares and has 47,000 stems (that look like individual trees). To put the age in perspective, humans expanded out of Africa 40,000 years ago.

There is debate on larger organisms that could even be 1 MILLION years old, but it isn't fact just yet.

There's a fungus that infects insects, controls their brains and then bursts out of their head.

If there was a virus or disease of apocalyptic proportions unleashed on the world, It's a well known fact that Madagascar will immediately recognize it from simple sneezing and be safe while the virus evolves and destroys the rest of the world.
