Was my inofficial birthday. My real birthday where I legally turn 21 is on Christmas eve.
I celebrate my birthday in October for convenience reasons since cake on Christmas is just wrong.

Spent it alone doing nothing too interesting since I don't really know anyone irl closely enough for them to care about stuff like this, and my family has mostly decided that I don't "need" a day like this anymore since they originally invented it so I could have a "normal" birthday and have birthday parties just like "all the other kids".
The most memorable thing that happened was that my old orphanage lady sent me a text and signed it with the nickname I used to call her while I still lived there.


This sounds way sadder than I thought it would xP People online still remembered it tho and for that I am grateful and happy ^^

She was more of a mother to me during the relatively brief time I spent there than my actual mom has been during all my life. And one of the few people there who genuinely cared about me and who "remembered" me despite me being a rather quiet kid.
So getting that text really made my day.


And yup, I lived there for a little over three years. So it wasn't an all that long time even tho it felt like an eternity at the time.
It really turned my whole world upside down tho and I still kinda struggle with that even tho I've been "free" for a few years now.
