Yah, that is true. Also if an animal (like ferals) could speak but only evolved internally, would that be something big, or do you think humans would talk to them like ...I don't even know I just hate it when people put on an act when talking to animals... but big thing or would it not matter because they would never learn to speak?

And, generally, you don't have to worry about beings in the "feral" status, learning how to speak, because without advancements to their physiology, allowing them to "use non-living-things to their will" extensively, there's almost never a need for the advanced, and incredibly detailed form of communication we call "talking".

Wheter or not pets in the feral state WANT to be treated as full-grown humans, or want to be nurtured and "babied" is up to them. And, I'd personally expect the latter, since feral state beings would logically lack the advancements in intelligence, since, after all, they haven't evolved to physically be capable of using "tools", soo would rather just be cared for, in the dangerous human envirement, they don't understand, and can only very limitedly interact with.

However, if they could speak before reaching a physically advanced state, then yes! Yes, it would be a VERY LARGE DEAL!

Because, suddenly, NOBODY will be capable of denying claims, or speaking for their pets/animals, because now, they can litterally just say what they want/if they are abused/ feel threathened, themselves!

That would have a HUGE impact on our society, because we will be just flat-out forced to confront how brutally wrong we are treating animals, in scertain, but plentifull cases...
