I used to do something similar, but then I got obsessed with catching them all.
And after I had caught them all, I became obsessed with shinies.
Dunno what I'll do once I've caught them all as shinies tho.
At that point it's probably time to find a new hobby or something.

Personally, I'd say gaming isn't really a hobby... It's more entertainment only... I think the criteria for a hobby is that something, at least, somewhat productive came out of it. Like machining, or model kit building, writing, drawing, or something...

Soo, as example, you'd make a youtube channel and record your story of "Catching them all" Then I'd say it's a hobby...

But don't listen to silly me ranting cuz, I'm kinda bored, and maybe a little frustrated that I've lost my camera tripod's locking pitot, since I kinda need it, like, right now...

Besides, using that definition, the way I'm being a furry (commissioning stuff rather than creating it myself. Or well, I created the designs for my characters, but aside from that, everything else has been my ideas brought to life with the help of others) wouldn't count as a hobby either, seeing as nothing productive comes out of it (at least on my end). :P

I went to a minor exploration to the space underneath my desk and managed to locate and retrieve the pitot, along with 3 20 cents coins, 2 bottlecaps, and a pen...


Well, you still created the characters! And contacted people to comission things for you. Soo, the end result is that your effort caused something productive!

Same counts for me with martial arts...

With the practice I do there, I'm not only honing my own skills, but also helping to teach my fellow m7's, there. And, ofcourse, there's all the social interaction, and general fun that goes on there.

I'd also want to say photography, but go to my deviantart page, and you'll find like 4 pictures...

I'd do it for you, if I didn't live in NL...

And, yeah, I have to make a passport photo for a permit to have airsoft guns, but it has to comply to official standards and stuff. But it's really hard to make a passport photo of myself without help from anyone else...

Like, the timed-shutter doesn't set the autofocus, soo I have to manually set it and such. It didn't work out... :c
