Ah yes, we've all seen the statistics: They hold clear proof that year-round barefoot walking is a gateway into a life of crime and stuff
It's probably only a matter of time before I'm out there robbing banks and stealing candy from babies and stuff now... >->






I haven't had any vaccines other than the ones everyone get, and I can't remember the last time I was sick for real.


And even if hygiene has really improved since then, there are studies that suggest that that's caused "everyones" immune systems to grow weaker as well.
I doubt it'd be a good idea to scrap vaccines all together for that reason, but I'm also not a too big fan of vaccines against for example flu being offered to people other than those who that disease could acctually be dangerous for (ie. the elderly).
In all honesty, most of the medcial systems could use a change.
I'm also not a fan of how quick psychologists/therapists to suggest medication for depression/other mental issues either.

Yeah, medication should be last resort for many things. I only go to the doctor when I'm not any better after 3 days in bed. And I usually am. Unless it was the chickenpox two years ago. That was brutal.

Chickenpox made its rounds when I was 7-8.
I remember "everyone" in my class ended up getting it, one after the other, except for me, because according to mom, I had something that resembled that when I was a toddler, and you apparently develop lifelong immunity to that once you've had it.
I also remember being kinda jealous, since to my child-self, it just seemed like they got 1-2 weeks off of school. And who wouldn't want that?
These days I'm extremely grateful I had it at such a young age, as I can't remember having it.
It looks really really unpleasant.


And yeah, medication should be the last resort, and especially if it's something that's potentially addictive.

You're talking about anti-depressants, right? They're especially crap because they're basically drugs that cause severe behavioural changes making you more agressive and such.

Yeah, I've had plenty of people tell me that starting with anti-depressants was the stupidest thing they ever did, as the side effects were worse than the thing it was supposed to cure.
But equally, I've also heard plenty of people say it's one of the best decisions they've ever made, so I guess it's just one of those things that doesn't work for everyone.


As for me, I don't really feel like gambling with this at all.
